Big feelings don't wait for a good moment

A tantrum can start anywhere: mid-episode, mid-park, mid-bedtime. Bloomy gives you a short practice built around the skill your child is working on right now, so the response is already familiar before the moment happens.

How it works

  • 1real situation at a time, not a full course
  • 5–10 minright there when you need it, not boring videos or long reads. Practice, not theory.
  • Quickfeedback shapes what happens next, not a form to fill out

Who it's for

Bloomy is built for parents of toddlers 18 months to 6 years having a hard time with big feelings, especially when something ends before they're ready: screens, the park, bedtime, getting dressed.

What your plan can include

Your plan starts with one of these, based on what's happening at home right now.

Handling frustration

for the big reaction when something goes wrong

Expressing feelings without hurting others

for hitting or pushing when upset

Accepting limits

for the strong reaction to “no”

Waiting for something they want

for difficulty waiting

Handling changes in routine

for meltdowns when plans change

Naming and communicating feelings

for struggling to explain what is wrong

Managing a body that is running low

for falling apart before a nap, meal, or when overtired

Getting through a moment that has to finish

for meltdowns during car seat, dressing, brushing teeth

Smarter with every family, not fixed by one expert

A single expert, however good, works from their own training and their own experience, written once and left alone. Bloomy is built to learn from what parents actually report back, and to keep adjusting as more families use it. That's a different kind of expertise, not a replacement for a qualified professional if your child needs one.

Toddler tantrums: common questions

Why does my toddler have so many tantrums?

Toddlers are still developing the skills they need to handle frustration, disappointment, limits, waiting and changes in plans. A child can have a strong reaction before they have the skills to manage that moment independently.

What should I do when my toddler hits?

Keep the immediate response clear and calm, and help your child move toward a way of expressing what they need without hurting someone. The skill to work on can differ depending on when and why the hitting happens.

Why do calm-down scripts not work once my toddler is already upset?

Scripts are written for a moment when your child is least able to take in new words. Rehearsing the response ahead of time, when your child is calm, tends to work better than introducing something new in the middle of a meltdown.

What’s the difference between the $59 and $79 plan?

$59 is a one-time payment covering the Big Feelings program for 3 months. $79 is a subscription covering every current and future program for 6 months, and renews automatically every 6 months unless you cancel.

How do I know what skill my child should work on first?

Look at the situations that happen repeatedly. What happens immediately before the reaction? What can your child already do? What part consistently breaks down?

When should I be concerned about toddler tantrums?

Every child has difficult moments, and tantrums vary widely. If you are concerned about your child’s behaviour, development or safety, speak with an appropriate qualified professional who can assess your child’s individual situation.
